At United Way of St. Johns County, we believe that every child and young adult deserves access to a quality education and the support services they need to achieve and thrive. We are dedicated to supporting children and young adults in St. Johns and Putnam Counties.
From 2022-2023, United Way of St. Johns County invested in the following education initiatives:

INVESTING IN EDUCATION, EMPOWERING THE FUTURE
Education is the foundation upon which we build a brighter future. In FY 2023, we directed $166,500 in Community Impact grants towards educational programs offered by our nonprofit partners. Through these targeted investments, we ensure that children and young adults have the tools and support they need to excel academically and thrive in life.
EQUIPPING FOR SUCCESS, FOSTERING GROWTH
Over $11,000 in school supply donations, generously provided by private donors and Publix, were distributed to students in St. Johns and Putnam counties during our Back to School drive. These essential supplies equip students for success, removing barriers and fostering an environment where learning flourishes.
OPENING THE WORLD OF IMAGINATION
With $5,100.00 in Scholastic Book funding, we were able to provide over 200 students with books that opened the doors to new worlds of imagination and knowledge. Nurturing a love for reading fuels the thirst for knowledge, broadens horizons, and empowers children to dream big.
