An organization built around the spirit of helping those in need, the United Way of St. Johns County saw a need in a sister community and decided to lend a hand.

United Way-SJC announced Wednesday that the organization will expand to cover Putnam County. The Putnam County chapter of United Way dissolved about a year ago. Since that time, the St. Johns County has been investigating the possibility of including Putnam in its service area.
