National Association of Letter Carriers: Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!
United Way of St. Johns County is proud to partner with the National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service, the Rural Letter Carriers Association, and the AFL-CIO, to collect and distribute non-perishable food items on Saturday, May 11th. This partnership stocks the shelves of the local food banks and shelters in St. Johns County which responds to the needs of food insecure residents.
Please join this great effort by placing non-perishable, unexpired, food donations by your mailbox on May 11th for letter carriers to pick up. Through the generosity of our community, last year St Johns County contributed approximately 63,000 lbs. of food which translates to $107,100.00 in value. 20 pantries benefited. 26 volunteers served, giving over 70 volunteer hrs.
